A specialist jury put each participating farmhouse in Austria into one of three categories, using 150 different criteria. The accommodation was then awarded two, three or four flowers accordingly. The high standards expected of each farm is shown by the fact that in three out of every four cases, a toilet and bath/shower are available en suite. Among other things, the categorisation is also based on the surroundings, the style of building and environmental criteria.
