Agricultural traditions a part of culture
Rural traditions are an important and vibrant cultural heritage that is particularly vivid in the individual regions. Here it is mainly the rural population, which contributes to the preservation and care. It does not matter whether it is customs is, say in the years to maturity or the life or traditional knowledge. They all have their own function, which is also a mirror image of coexistence.
Organic farmers in Austria started an initiative to build up local distribution networks to sell their products. In keeping with the philosophy of organic agriculture, they didn't want their products transported long distances to retailers. So they created local markets, and today they sell their produce at the farm gate.
